The Arc of New Mexico
The Mission of The Arc of New Mexico, established in 1955, is to improve the quality of life for individuals with developmental disabilities of all ages by advocating for equal opportunities and choices in where and how they learn, live, work, play and socialize.
The Arc of New Mexico believes that every individual and family affected by developmental disability in New Mexico should have access to the information, advocacy, and skills they need to participate as active citizens of our democracy and active members of their community. We work to ensure that people developmental disabilities and their families have the supports they need to live an ordinary, decent American lives.
The Arc of New Mexico is part of the National Arc Movement — the world’s largest community based organization of and for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. More than 730 state and local chapters across the nation, with over 140,000 members, provide an array of services and support for individuals and families.
