Brian’s Story

Before getting involved with The Arc, Brian said he didn’t have the confidence he always felt like he needed. He hid behind his disability and worried that people would put him down because of it. But he soon found the opposite to be true – people welcomed him with open arms, and Brian’s confidence skyrocketed.

In fact, he became a Advocate Trainer for several years through a partnership between The Arc of New Mexico and the New Mexico Department of Health.

Brian has a way with people, and upon meeting him you can’t help but recognize his sense of humor and unique perspective on life. He has been through a lot over the last few years, but has continued to be positive and enjoys life’s challenges.

Brian confidently says, “I’m here for you, even when you are afraid.”
